ACADEMIC ADVISING
All students are assigned an academic advisor, who is a faculty member in the department of their major. Advisors are responsible for helping students on various issues, such as adjustment to university life, academic guidance, and career planning.
The name of your academic advisor is provided in the OBIKAS registration system. Advisors monitor which courses students register for and approve their schedule. Registering for courses is finalized only after advisor approval. Being in touch with your advisor during course registration periods and preparing your schedule together will speed up the registration approval process. We strongly urge you to see your advisor regularly and share with them any questions and problems you may have.
